Learning about the Lucky Lager beer robot last night, I also learned about “rebus puzzle” bottle caps. Lucky Lager used them. As did other brands of beer. All of these photos (click for bigger view) are from JokeLibrary.net and most of them are from Lucky Lager caps. Seems like bottle cap rebus puzzles are usually innocuous homilies like, “A stitch in time saves nine.” But some are proper names or topical catch phrases of the period, like “Here come da judge” etc. (Upper left hand corner is “Richard Nixon”; The one on the far right, second row, used the Lucky Lager logo to say “It’s lucky when you live in America.”)
(2 more significant rebus caps, after the jump…)
The bottle cap on left says “Environment”; On the right is a more recent Micky’s Malt Liquor cap, whose message would appear to pertain specifically to box vox

Hello,
I have been reading through websites on rebus bottle caps and would like to know where I can obtain some of these caps for use in my classroom. I love the word play and know my students would benefit from the challenges. Used caps are okay.
Please advise.
Thanks,
